Frog Legs - Seafood or not?

Frogs, like Alligator live on the land and the water.   Ducks and geese live on the land and the water.    Are frogs considered seafood?    What about alligator?

I guess I never thought about this...   I've always seen frog legs on the seafood section of menus...   However, it wouldn't surprise me in this day and age to see another section of protein created just for frog legs, alligator or anything else that's just lumped in with seafood.

Wow, good question.... Kind of like the chicken and the egg conundrum.      I consider it seafood and eat it on Fridays during lent, however prices have gone through the roof in the past year.
